Secretary General Pakistan Peoples Party Punjab, Chaudhary Ghulam Abbas has said that government has failed to find out any clue to unearth the hidden hands involved in the assassination of Benazir Bhutto.
Addressing a press conference here on Wednesday afternoon he termed the assassination of Benazir Bhutto a conspiracy for halting and sabotaging the process of election in the country.
Replying to a question, Abbas said that Benazir Bhutto was a symbol of unity because she had always struggled for a strong federation, avoiding the politics of confrontation and the promotion of strong democracy and she gave her life for the cause of democracy.
Pakistan Peoples Party believes in democratic norms and would continue its struggle for fulfilment of Benazir's dream, he said. Answering to another question, Abbas said that PPP would take active part in the elections because it had become imperative at this critical juncture for maintaining and strengthening the unity of the country and avoiding public-army clashes.
He said that it is very unfortunate that we have lost Benazir Bhutto and this vacuum could not be filled for a very long time. Expressing confidence, he said that PPP would sweep the upcoming elections with the active support of the masses.
