Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Shahbaz Sharif has urged the countrymen to support and strengthen the hands of Nawaz Sharif who is symbol of federation and waging a just struggle for ensuring bright future of the country.
He said this while addressing a delegation of the PML-N workers who led by his party's candidate from PP-148 Hafiz Mian Mohammad Noman called on him here on Wednesday. On the occasion, PML-Q leader Hafiz Asad Ubaid along with his supporters announced to join the PML-N, expressing full confidence in the leadership of Nawaz Sharif and Shahbaz Sharif.
Shahbaz said the people of 'Qatil League' are persuading for confrontation in a bid to steal the elections, but people would reject the remnants of dictatorship and vote for the PML-N. Shahbaz said there is no reason for postponement of elections and those desirous of delaying polls want so to avoid crushing defeat in the elections. He said the people would strongly resist if any bid was made to rig the elections and asked party workers to remain at polling stations on polling day till announcement of election results and obtaining certified result sheets.
He underlined the need for promotion of national unity and said those fanning provincialism and linguistic differences are not friend of the country and asked people to vote for PML-N which, he claimed, is champion of federation.
He said his party manifesto is revolutionary and not electoral and added that the PML-N is committed to transforming Pakistan as per ideals of Quaid-e-Azam and Allama Muhammad Iqbal. He said PML-N would win the upcoming elections with thumping majority and rid people of problems of price-hike, unemployment, backwardness and illiteracy putting country on the road to progress and prosperity. He also said that his party welcomes Bilawal Bhutto Zardari for becoming successor of Benazir Bhutto, adding that assassination of Benazir Bhutto is a big tragedy after killing of Nawab Akbar Bugti.
