The country is passing through a critical phase as law and order is deteriorating hence it is essential to train the youth to serve the nation in disaster-like situations, said the caretaker Federal Minister for Youth Affairs, Barrister Mohammad Ali Saif on Thursday.
While presiding over the fourth meeting of the Board of National Volunteer Movement (NVM), he said that hospitals and medical units having ambulances, doctors and medical teams will also be included in the volunteer staff to make emergency and disaster management services more effective.

The project started in collaboration with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and Civil Defence for imparting training to the volunteers, he said.
