The protesters blocked Pak-Afghan Highway for every kind of traffic as protest against the load shedding in the Khyber Agency. They kept the road blocked for more than two hours. They were chanting anti Wapda and administration slogans for keeping the area in darkness.
They said that due to prolonged load shedding there was a serious shortage of drinking water in the area, while the administration acting as silent spectator. They said that the Assistant Political Agent Landikotal Ahmad Khan Aurakzai was absent from his office for the last one month and blamed him for not taking interest in solving the problems of the tribesmen.
