PML-N General Secretary Lahore and candidate for PP 141 Mian Mujtaba Shuja-ur-Rehamn has said that in the forthcoming elections, people would reject those who have brought the country to the brink of disaster.
Addressing a corner meeting in his constituency here on Tuesday, he said, "People want a change of system, not just a change of faces, and would not vote for those who disappointed them in the past."
He claimed that only a bold and brave leadership like Nawaz Sharif could steer the country out of the current crisis, as it faces grave internal and foreign pressures. Reiterating the PML-N commitment to restore the deposed judges, he said it is essential for the restoration and strengthening of real democracy in the country.
Commenting on the power crisis in the country, he asserted that due to the wrong policies of the rulers during the last eight years not even a single major dam was constructed to address this vital issue.
