Mohammad Azhar Akhtar has been elected Chairman of Rice Exporters Association of Pakistan (Reap) for the next term. According to a press release, in the elections held here on Saturday Abdul Baseer and Mian Haroon Rashid elected Vice-Chairman and Treasurer, respectively.
Earlier, in the annual general meeting, the official results for the unopposed election 2007 for 10 vacant seats of the Reap Managing Committee were also announced by the returning officers.
From South Zone are Abdul Baseer, Imran Rasheed, Arshad Arif, Abdullah Hashwani and Hamadullah Tareen; while the five new elected members from North Zone: Mohammad Azhar Akhtar, Malik Jahangir, Waqas Butt, Tariq Mehmood and Mohsin Abbas Zaidi.-PR
