The LPG Distributors Association has cautioned that the current crisis of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) may further aggravate as the marketing companies have refused to sell the gas at the price fixed by Oils and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA).
Addressing a press conference here on Saturday, chairman LPG Distributors Association Irfan Khokhar said that LPG price has jumped to Rs 120 per kg from Rs 65 within a few days. The authority has fixed the price of per LPG domestic cylinder at Rs 691.
He claimed that 97 percent of LPG retails' outlets have been closed in the provincial capital as City District Government's operation against distributors was continued. He said police has registered cases against 123 distributors. He urged the government to form a committee for controlling LPG prices.
