Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) Vice President Tehmina Daultana has regretted the vilification campaign against Mian Nawaz Sharif by some politicians. Talking to journalists on Saturday, she said the ongoing blame-game was neither good politics nor in the national interest.
She urged leaders belonging to the rival party not to stoop to wild allegations. She observed that PML-N was striving to strengthen the federation, end the price hike, restore law and order and ensure an independent judiciary. "We believe in the politics of principles and abhor mudslinging," she remarked.
The PML-N leader urged upon the interim set-up to ensure transparent polls on February 18. "The so-called 'kings party' leader failed to draw a sizeable crowd at his public meeting on Friday, and this should serve as an eye-opener for him," she asserted. Tehmina Daultana further claimed that wheat flour crisis, massive load shedding and poor law and order were the result of faulty policies of the PML government.
