Thousands of people on Sunday staged a protest demonstration at Kalam valley in Swat district against closure of road due to heavy snowfall, suspension of electricity and telephone service, shortage of edible goods and medicine.
The protest demonstration was organised by Hotels Association Kalam and was participated by large number of people.
The participants of the demonstration chanted slogans against all the contesting candidates and warned of boycotting elections if measures were not taken for resolving the problems. Speaking on the occasion, leaders of Kalam Hotels Association said that people of Kalam are facing great difficulties due to closure of road as a result of which food and medicine shortage is faced by people of the area.
