The Lahore High Court (LHC) issued non-bailable arrest warrants of an army man who neither appeared before the court nor produced three minor children following the court order in this regard.
The court gave these orders with regard to a petition filed by Noor Bibi who contended that her marriage with Muhammad Yousaf, serving as an operator, was solemnised some eight years back and for unknown reason her husband drove her out of his house a year ago and kept her three minor children Talha, Umer and Javeria in his possession, adding he has not allowed her to meet her children since then.
She had also moved an application before Sessions Judge Khanewal for the recovery of her children. Her counsel said Yousaf appeared before the judge and promised to produce the minors too. However, the respondent intentionally removed the minors from the territorial jurisdiction of the sessions judge and confined the minors in Kharian, the counsel argued.
After hearing the petitioner's counsel, the judge directed Yousaf to produce minors before the court but he did not comply with the court orders, because of which judge issued a non-bailable arrest warrants.
