Traders' representative body Qaumi Tajir Ittehad Lahore has decided to close markets at 9:00 pm on account of current electricity crisis in the country. The decision to this effect was taken at executive council meeting of Qaumi Tajir Ittehad Lahore chaired by its president Irfan Iqbal Sheikh here Wednesday.
Addressing the meeting he said government should build mega dams including Kalabagh dam to overcome power shortage in the country. He said that most of the traders and shopkeepers have made alternate energy arrangements during power shutdown, therefore there was no justification for the government to restrict traders to close business at 7:00 pm.
