The Karachi Port handled 112,441 tonnes cargo including 94,219 tonnes import, 18,222 tonnes export cargo and 3,115 containers (TEUs) during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Thursday.
The cargo comprised of 66,941 tonnes dry cargo including 48,141 tonnes general cargo; 1,843 tonnes Fertiliser; 10,503 tonnes Coal; 6,454 tonnes Cement cargo and 45,500 tonnes oil/liquid cargo. Seven ships namely Faith-1, APL Brisbane, Kapitan Byankin, China Star, OEL Trust, Raissa Ayu and Maria Th sailed out to sea during the report period.
Nine vessels viz APL Brisbane, Augusta, Harmony, Hyundai Sprinter, Lalazar, Semsru, Chemstar Princess, Glory Tellus and Aqua Star are currently at the berths. Three ships namely Lucky Arrow, Aqua Star and Augusta expected to sail on Thursday, while two vessels viz Semeru and Lalazar are expected to sail on Friday.
Four vessels viz Splandour, Hajin Chittagong, Tower Bridge and Johar due to arrive on Thursday, while five ships namely Kuleli, Sp 5-Eric G Gibson, St. Irene, Noor-e-Madina and Dreake are due to arrive on Friday.

PORT QASIM
A total cargo volume of 71,096 tonnes comprising 57,238 tonnes import and 13,858 tonnes export inclusive of containerised cargo carried in 1,643 containers (TEUs) was handled during last 24 hours ending at 0800 hours on Thursday. The cargo comprised of 34,502 tonnes Diesel Oil; 2,430 tonnes Edible Oil; 6,213 tonnes Wheat and 27,951 tonnes containerised cargo.
Two ships namely CV Inori and MT Venus-7 sailed out to sea during last 24 hours. Three ships namely MV Aviona, Qatri Ibn Fujaa and Al-Soor-II are expected to sail on Thursday. A total of six ships namely Pedoulas, Shadwan Island, Raissa Ayu, Dubai Express, Khalid Ibn Waleed and Sinar Agra carrying Crude Oil, Cement, Edible Oil, Containers and Chemicals are currently at the outer anchorage.
Six vessels viz CV Inori, CV Qatri Ibn Fujaa, MV City of Dubrovnik, MV AvionaMT Venus-7 and MT Al-Soor-II were occupying berths to load/offload Containers, Wheat, Edible Oil and Diesel Oil respectively during the report period.
Five ships namely CV Khalid Ibn Al-Waleed, CV Qatri Ibn Fujaa, CV Dubai Express, Raissa Ayu, Shadwan Island and Sinar Agra due to take berths at Qasim International Container Terminal, Multi Purpose Terminal and Engro Vopak Terminal respectively on Thursday. Eight vessels viz Maersk Novazzano, Sima Paya, MT Eastern Tera, Qem Star, MV John, Theodsia, Drake and BBC Maine carrying Containers, MEG, VCM, Wheat, Seeds and General Cargo are due to arrive.
