Lesco installs generators at Imambargahs

Lahore Electric Supply Company (Lesco) has installed additional generators and mobile transformers at Nisar Haveli and Karbala Gamay Shah for uninterrupted power supply at Majalis and processions on the 9th and 10th Muharram.
Lesco Chief Executive Muhammad Akram Arain told APP here on Friday that the areas of main Imambargahs and the routes of Zuljinnah processions have been exempted from loadshedding during the night to ensure smooth power supply.
He said electricity supply in other important areas of the city, where Majalis are being held daily, have also been exempted. Ading that special staff has been deployed on round the clock duty under supervision of the XEns and SDOs concerned, while SEs will personally check arrangements and monitor the overall performance of the staff. He said special emergency teams had already been constituted at Sub-Divisional and Divisional level to meet any eventuality.
