Senior Vice President Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Makhdoom Javed Hashmi has said that PML-N was not ready to give President Pervez Musharraf a safe passage provided it got the leading role in the proposed pre-poll national government, nor it would compromise on principles.
Addressing a corner meeting in Hassan Parwana Colony in connection off his election campaign on Tuesday, Hashmi rejected report regarding change in PML-N stance, adding that even a national government under President Musharraf was not acceptable to PML-N, to whom we regarded as a dictator who distorted constitution
The recent meeting of PML-Nawaz President Shahbaz Sharif with Brigadier Niaz (Retd) in London was a social meeting between two friends and it was nothing to do with the proposed national government before polls with the PML-N in the driving seat.
He said that such rumours were being spread in the market to malign the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leadership. He said that Muslim League would never betray the people at any stage. Javed Hashmi said that Mian Nawaz Sharif had called a meeting of political parties contesting the elections in Lahore on February 6. Party sources said heads of all the parties would take an oath in the meeting, that they would restore the pre-November 3 judiciary.
