APDM launches election boycott movement

All Pakistan Democratic Movement (APDM) has launched a countrywide election boycott movement from Tuesday, to be continued till February 16. According to Jamaat-e-Islami sources, various committees will be constituted at the provincial, district and local levels for the purpose, after convening a meeting of all component parties of APDM.
Special teams will also be formed to ensure mass contact at the union council level, besides holding corner meetings aiming to persuade people to boycott the February 18 general elections. As per schedule, Amir Jamaat-e-Islami Qazi Hussain Ahmed, Mehmood Khan Achakzai, Imran Khan and other leaders will address a series of public meetings being held under the aegis of the APDM.
