In the anti polio drive from January 22 to 24, as many as 696,247 of the target of 729,550 children in the district were administered polio vaccine, while a two-days 'follow-up' campaign aims to cover the remaining kids.
EDO health office sources told APP that their teams would try to reach the target age children who were either in transit or away from the district with their families and could not be given polio drops. Parents are advised of kids up to 5 years age who had not been given polio drops, to contact them on the toll-free number 0800-12012.
