PPP Vice Chairman Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani has said according to his party's assessment the PPP will win the February 18 elections with thumping majority. He said some forces were trying to disintegrate the country but the PPP would save the Federation after winning the upcoming elections with the help of the people, which was the mission of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto.
Addressing a Public meeting in his constituency he said that the party had devised a strategy to counter the rigging plan of the govt and it had given instructions to the district Presidents, office-bearers and PPP workers in this regard.
On the eve of balloting, the PPP workers would sit outside the polling stations and would leave the place only after receiving the results of their nominated candidates from the Returning Officers, he said, adding, different committees were being formed for this purpose.
He said after holding party rally in Multan, Asif Ali Zardari co-chairman of PPP would kick off his polls campaign in Punjab where Benazir Bhutto did her last electioneering. He said that PPP has already sent its party teams to US saying that many Senators and democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton is also supporting the PPP stance.
He said that PPP would make alliance with like-minded parties with consensus. He said that PPP workers would decide to make or not to make coalition with those political parties who are part of 8 years rule of the present govt.
He said that to restore democracy in the country is the best revenge of Benazir Bhutto Shaheed and his party will expose those hands in front of the people who were involved in this conspiracy. He said that there was no excuse for plunderers and hoarders of wheat flour, diesel and oil.
