A spokesman of ISPR has stated that conducting of elections, as per Constitution, is the sole responsibility of the Election Commission. According to a press release issued here on Sunday, Army would not be involved in the election process.
However, the Army would be available for maintaining law and order as per requirement of the government for the forthcoming elections along with other law enforcement agencies, the spokesman added.
