Australian share prices should continue their recovery next week as local stocks remain competitive against other world markets, but investors should expect more volatility, dealers said on Friday.
For the week ending January 25, the benchmark S&P/ASX 200 index closed at 5,860.3, up 113.0 points or 2.0 percent despite one of the rockiest weeks since the index was established.
The market was up 13.5 percent from a low hit on Tuesday, when the market plummeted 7.1 percent, and dealers said its historical rise was set to continue despite the fears of a US recession and concerns about global markets.
