Prime Minister Mohammedmian Soomro on Tuesday said the caretaker government's top priority was to facilitate the Election Commission for holding free, fair and transparent general elections in a peaceful environment.
Talking with Balochistan Chief Minister Saleh Mohammad Bhutani in PM Secretariat, he said that besides ensuring peaceful environment for the election process, the government would also ensure continuity of economic policies and sustainability in the economic turnaround.
The Prime Minister said that the development taking place in Balochistan through infrastructure expansion, provision of gas, electricity, schools, health facilities and clean drinking water in various parts of Balochistan had improved the people's standard of living.
He said mega projects like Gwadar deep sea port, Coastal Highway, Mirani Dam, Kichi Canal, and Sandak Copper Project would bring about economic prosperity for the people of Balochistan.
These mega projects would facilitate the economic activities, thus opening up job opportunities for the people of different areas of the province, he added. The Chief Minister apprised the Prime Minister of the arrangements made by the Balochistan government for holding of general elections in a peaceful manner.
