Former Real Madrid and Chelsea striker Nicolas Anelka will be coming to Pakistan to play the exhibition match alongside Brazil legend Ronaldinho and friends in July.
A venture of Leisure League, the exhibition match will also see former Netherlands midfielder George Boaetang and ex-England goalkeeper David James visit Pakistan.
“[The] aim of my participation is to help boost football in Pakistan and having embraced Islam I have a special connection with Pakistan,” said Anelka in a press statement released by the organisers of Leisure Leagues.

The well-travelled ex-striker represented 13 different clubs in his career, including French giants Paris Saint-Germain, England’s Manchester City, Liverpool and Italian Serie A’s Juventus, scoring more than 200 goals in over 600 club matches.
The 38-year-old Frenchman was also capped 69 times by Les Bleus, for whom he netted 14 goals.
