More than 500 leading foreign buyers of relevant sectors are expected to attend Expo Pakistan 2008, scheduled from March 13 to 16 at Karachi Expo Centre. This was stated during a meeting, which reviewed progress on organisation of Expo Pakistan 2008 at Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) under the chairmanship of Chief Executive TDAP, Tariq Ikram.
According to TDAP here Friday, the meeting was apprised that Pakistani missions abroad are actively involved in approaching the buyers in their respective countries and profiles of more than 200 leading foreign buyers have been received with numerous confirmations underway. The event managers told the meeting that it was quite encouraging that the buyers are looking forward to visit Karachi for Expo Pakistan.
TDAP is making all out efforts to convince the international community that Pakistan is a business-friendly country with traditional warmth and hospitality. To encourage participation of exhibitors, Expo teams have also visited all major export cities of Pakistan and had meetings with respective chambers of commerce, trade associations and other exporters and manufacturers and a good response is being received from all product sectors.
This mega national event of Expo Pakistan is scheduled from March 13 to 16, 2008 at Karachi Expo Centre, which is going to attract business and trade visitors from different regions of the world and serve as an ideal platform to enhance the image of Pakistan and offer export-oriented promotion to Pakistani manufacturers. Tariq Ikram was updated on the progress made on various activities for Expo Pakistan including international promotion and local marketing.
