The elections were scheduled on December 13, 2007, but the Business Group boycotted the elections. But the Election Committee of the Chamber declared 13 members from Mian Pervaiz Aslam group out of 24-member executive committee of the chamber successful unopposed and on December 31, the 24-member Executive Committee elected Abdul Rauf Chaudhry as its president.
