The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has appended a new chapter to reach out to a common man to receive complaints on phone from all those aggrieved by the corrupt and other cheating elements of the society.
To receive complaints of the common man and those who have been affected by various scams, the Director General (DG) NAB (Frontier) has decided to take direct calls from the general public regarding their complaints on every first Tuesday of the month.
However, the first programme will be on Wednesday February 6 due to holiday in connection with solidarity day with Kashmiris struggling for their right of self-determination. All directors of NAB Frontier will accompany their DG to register the complaints and where required will take appropriate actions staying within the ambit of law.
The bureau has requested the general public to lodge their complaints against a holder of public office who wrongfully benefits other persons from national exchequer, any institution that deceitfully grabs money from five or more persons with intent to defraud, a person who deprives a number of innocent people of their money on the pretext of employing them in a foreign country, any institution of housing society launching a fake housing scheme and depriving five or more persons from their money, a person who commits bank fraud in connivance with bank officials, against a government official who demands bribe for an official job, identification of spurious medicines and manufacturing units, theft of electricity with the connivance of concerned Wapda officials, any institution that collects money on the pretext of high returns on investments, any person collecting money to double or triple it in a stipulated time and pyramid schemes.
The public is however requested not to complain about such cases, which are already under investigation, litigation. The general public may call DG NAB (F) directly on telephone numbers. 091-9217559-091-9217543 and UAN 111-622622 from 10 AM to 11:30 AM on the specified day of the month.
