Public and private partnership can play pivotal role to promote technical education and vocational training across the province of Punjab and Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (TEVTA) is offering demand driven training courses with the collaboration of industry in its Institutes.
Secretary TEVTA Muhammad Arshad Bhatti said this while talking to a delegation of Industrialists of District Sialkot on the occasion of signing two MoUs with M/s SIMAP Sialkot and Sudhaar Lahore and M/s Starpark Martial Arts (Pvt) Ltd Sialkot.
Secretary TEVTA Muhammad Arshad Bhatti, Chairman SIMAP Sheraz Safdar, Chief Executive Officer Sudhaar (NGO) Zahid Siddiqi and Chief Executive Starpark Martial Arts (Pvt) Ltd Zialul-Hassan Shabbir signed the MoUs.
Arshad Bhatti said that the objectives of these MoUs were to contribute towards the elimination of worst labour from surgical and sports industry in district Sialkot. This effort will also support Government for development of human resources to improve production in terms of quality and quantity.
Under the MoU which was signed amongst TEVTA, Sudhaar-Lahore and Surgical Instrument Manufacturing Association of Pakistan (SIMAP), 120 children will be given vocational training for surgical working at Apprentices Training Center Sialkot in four trades polishing, grinding, filling and fitting.
TEVTA will provide training premises, curriculum and certificates to all successful children. Sudhaar (NGO) will provide trainees, training fees and training cost to TEVTA. M/s SIMAP will review and improve the training manuals. They will also ensure placement for the successful trainees.
