A one day comprehensive workshop on "Business Continuity Management Fundamentals" (BCMF) was jointly organised by the Institute of Bankers Pakistan (IBP) and Rkaz Technology Partners, Malaysia here on Monday.
The workshop was designed to increase an individual's knowledge of basic principles over the whole Business Continuity Management (BCM) lifecycle and aimed at allowing appreciation of enterprise-wide BCM concerns and how they are implemented in the business lines. Participants gained sound knowledge, skills and expertise in business continuity techniques and practices.
According to IBP, chaotic conditions are unpredictable and may occur anywhere, any day, any time. A timely response towards these occurrences, that can cause significant financial, legal and reputation damages to customer focused services organisation, especially the financial services organisations, makes all the difference between navigating through both major and silent catastrophes versus taking the hit and suffering through the ramifications of not being able to respond on time. The BCM workshop was a positive response to these disastrous situations.
Zulfiqar H.Kazami, CEO and Principal Consultant at Rkaz Technology partners, Malaysia conducted the workshop. He has over 17 years of international exposure and is a certified ICOR, Instructor, certified SNIA Instructor, certified ethical hacker, and certified EMC professional.
