The prices of edible oil and ghee have gone up by Rs 40 and 30 per 16kg respectively in the local market, said Fareed Qureshi, General Secretary of Karachi Retailers Grocers Association on Monday. With the current increase, edible oil will be available at Rs 1660 per 16 kg, which was earlier being sold at Rs 1620 per 16kg.
Similarly, ghee price also surged to Rs 1630 per 16 kg from Rs 1600 per 16 kg.
