Pakistan Peoples Party, Lahore President Aziz-u-Rehman Chan has appealed to the masses to cast their valuable vote because it was the only way to deter the rigging in the elections and stressed the people to elect the right candidate who can fulfil their wishes in a true sense.
He said this during a function held at Lahore Press Club on Wednesday. On the occasion PML-Q leader Chaudhry Rifaqat also announced to join PPPP and showed his disassociation with the PML-Q in future.
On the occasion criticising the role of District Nazim Mian Amir for supporting PML-Q candidates, senior party leader Zakria Butt demanded the election commission to take prompt and appropriate measures in this regard.
Later, they offered fateha for late Chairman of PPPP Benazir Bhutto at Peoples Secretariat. A large number of party workers were present on the occasion. Earlier, Bushra Aitizaz, wife of Aitizaz Ahsan, addressing in a function of Peoples Youth Organisation and warned that rigging in the elections would not be accepted at any cost.
Expressing her views she stressed that masses would take revenge of murder of Benazir Bhutto by putting stamp on arrow, PPPP sign, make the party a great success on February 18. Meanwhile, she vowed that by winning the polls, PPPP would advance the mission of martyred Benazir Bhutto, warning that if history of December 27, 2007 was repeated, the entire nation would stand-up united as a rock.
