Welcoming the decision of Chief of Army Staff, General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani, Central Senior Vice President of PML-N, Makhdoom Javed Hashmi has said that COAS should remove ex-servicemen serving in different departments. "I am confident that removal of in-service and ex-servicemen from government departments would have a good impact," Hashmi said.
Pakistan Peoples Party Vice Chairman, Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani said, "I think it is a good augury that in-service army officers are being called back from different institutions and this step would emerge as a good change in the atmosphere."
Chief of Pakistan Democratic Party and APDM leader, Nawabzada Mansoor Ahmed Khan said that all ex-servicemen and in-servicemen should be removed from civil departments and jobless people should be accommodated in their places. This step, he said, would alleviate the hatred against the army.
