The Peshawar Electricity Supply Company (Pesco) has recovered Rs 50.47 million from federal and provincial government departments in Hazara Circle, said a release of the company here on Tuesday.
According to details, Pesco succeeded in recovering Rs 44.161 million from the Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) government, Rs 0.011 million from the PTCL, Rs 0.085 million, from FWO, Rs 0.009 million from MES, Rs 0.009 million, from Erra, Rs 0.686 million, from Public Health Engineering, Rs 0.012 million from Police, Rs 0.939 million from TMO Mansehra, Rs 0.779 million from Finance, Rs 0.295 million from TMO Havelian, Rs 1.096 million from C&W, Rs 0.001 million from Irrigation, and Rs 0. 302 million from E&P Abbottabad.
Pesco Chief Executive Brigadier Sakhi Marjan has directed the field staff to accelerate the pace of recovery and disconnect the defaulter government departments, who fail to deposit their outstanding arrears.
All federal, provincial and local bodies departments and private consumers are once again requested in their own interest to clear their outstanding arrears henceforth and pay their electricity bills in time so that their power supply may not be disconnected.
