Wheat futures on the Chicago Board of Trade and the Kansas City Board of Trade fell sharply at midsession on Tuesday, setting back from contract highs set on Monday, with the KCBT May contract falling the 60-cent limit, traders said.
As of 11:17 am CST (1717 GMT), CBOT March wheat was down 30-1/2 cents at $10.17-1/2 per bushel, with May down 56 cents at $10.29. At the KCBT, May was down 59-1/4 cents at $10.78-3/4 a bushel after falling the 60-cent limit to $10.78.
