The Cabinet Committee on Privatisation (CCoP) will approve Global Depository Receipt (GDR) offering of Kot Addu Power Company (Kapco) shares on Friday. Presided over by the Caretaker Prime Minister, Mohammedmian Soomro, the meeting would approve deletion of Public Motors Limited land assets, Lahore from the privatisation programme.
The caretaker Minister for Privatisation, Shahzada Alam Moono will update the committee on privatisation programme. Sources said that the committee would also consider privatisation of Roosevelt Hotel, New York, Tomato Paste Plant and Jamshoro Power Company Limited (JPCL). They said, Secretary Defence and Chairman Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) have also been invited to participate in the meeting in connection with privatisation of Roosevelt Hotel.
