The investment under CFS at the Karachi share market increased by 4.4 percent to Rs 52.6 billion on Friday as compared to previous Rs 50.42 billion. The CFS rate increased by 12 bps to 10.92 percent against 10.8 percent.
The top 5 companies by CFS investment were NBP, AHSL, PPL, POL and OGDC, which contributed around 45 percent of the total CFS investment during the week.
Total open interest at the futures counter settled at Rs 7.2 billion, a decline of 12 percent on week-on-week basis. Future spreads during the week depicted volatile movements (ranging from -1.3 percent to 3.92 percent) to close the week at -1.9 percent.
Average trading volumes during the week were recorded at 32 million shares, a 22 percent increase on weekly basis. Top-5 companies in open futures were namely NBP, POL, MCB, PPL and OGDC cumulatively contributing 59 percent to the outstanding open interest on Friday.
