In occupied Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) and other leaders have said that a strong Pakistan will pave the way for a breakthrough in the efforts to help resolving the Kashmir dispute according to Kashmiris' aspirations.
The senior APHC leader, Shabbir Ahmad Shah, while taking to media persons in Srinagar said that Pakistani President, Pervez Musharraf had been playing an important role as far as the resolution of the Kashmir dispute was concerned, KMS reported.
He emphasised that a strong Pakistan was in the interest of Kashmiris, saying that all the major political parties of Pakistan were equally important for the people of Jammu and Kashmir, as Kashmir was their common cause.
The Chairman, Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front, Mohammad Yasin Malik, in his statement hoped that the new government in Pakistan would play a constructive role for resolving the Kashmir issue in accordance with Kashmiris' wishes.
Further, a spokesman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), which is a part of the puppet administration in occupied Kashmir, said that a stable Pakistan was imperative for resolution of the Kashmir issue. "To resolve of this long pending issue - a stable Pakistan is a must, the spokesman said adding, "Kashmir is the gateway of peace for the subcontinent and there can be peace and prosperity only after the issue is solved."
