The President of Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mohammad Ali Mian, has congratulated the Pakistan Muslim League-N and the Pakistan People's Party and urged them to prioritise the economy.
In a statement issued on Tuesday he said that the results had sent positive signals to the global community, whish was closely watching the whole process. He said he hoped that the business community would get its due role in policy-making to evolve commercial policies.
He said the new government should take practical measures to cope with the energy, gas and other problems. "We have a lot of expectations from the upcoming government to improve the economic situation in the country as the business community is the backbone of the country and its interests would be watched on priority-basis," he added. He said that the new government should consult the business community to introduce economic reforms.
