Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Altaf Hussein has indicated his party's willingness to hold dialogue with Pakistan People's Party and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz on the possibilities of forming government at the centre or at the provincial level.
Speaking to the media at the party's international secretariat, where the 2008 elections results were being monitored, he said his party was ready for talks with these two parties in the larger national interest.
He said, for the sake of national solidarity, prosperity, welfare of the people his party was willing to forget the past and look forward to bringing stability to the country. He said that the talks could only be successful if the other parties were equally sincere and earnest in achieving the objective.
The MQM leader said that without talks or negotiations, mutual differences and reservations could not be removed. "If any party wants to talks to us, we would welcome it with sincerity and open heart," he said.
