Former President and Supreme head of Muslim Conference, Sardar Muhammad Abdul Qayyum Khan has asked all the political parties to accept the election results with open heart. Talking to Athar Masood Wani about the situation in Pakistan, he said that success in elections is not the victory of any single party or group but the whole country.
He appreciated the endeavours of army and the present government for holding elections in free, fair and transparent manner. He said all credit goes to army for this fair elections. He said that only fair elections were held in the history of Pakistan during the rule period of General Yahya and now President Musharraf.
Sardar Abdul Qayyum said that now the whole responsibility lies upon the shoulders of winning political parties that how they have to handle future problems and challenges. He urged to abolish the politics of avenge.
He said all the political parties should keep their own agenda aside and should work on the agenda of Pakistan. He added it would help to resolve all the problems. He observed that Pakistan was facing a lot of problems so stability of Pakistan must be top priority. He also felicitated President Musharraf to holding free, fair and transparent elections. Sardar Abdul Qayyum also greeted the winning candidates.
