The Karachi Port handled 82,660 tonnes cargo including 46,383 tonnes import, 36,277 tonnes export cargo and 2,283 containers (TEUs) during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Wednesday. The cargo comprised of 51,124 tonnes dry cargo including 27,124 tonnes general cargo; 24,000 tonnes Bulk cargo and 31,536 tonnes oil/liquid cargo.
Seven ships namely Mol Admiration, Limari, Creek, Oel Spirit, Sun Naptune, Noor-e-Madina and Oriental Bouquet sailed out to sea during the report period. Five vessels viz Oriental Bouquet, Apl Amman, Adriatic Wind, Bodar and Atlantic Leader are currently at the berths.
One ship namely Apl Amman expected to sail on Wednesday, while four vessels viz Bunga Lanka, Chitral, Filippa and Atlantic Leader expected to sail on Thursday. Four vessels viz Hyundai Sprinter, Filippa, Surfing Jad and Spica due to arrive on Wednesday, while seven ships namely Al-Maqwa, Liquid Challange, Soon Fu, Ninth Ocean, Lte Calvin P. Titus, Hanjin Chittagong and Orient Stride are due to arrive on Thursday.
The cargo comprised of 6,345 tonnes Palm Oil; 18,344 tonnes Wheat; 3,120 tonnes Chemicals and 28,344 tonnes containerised cargo. Two ships namely CV Maersk Carolina and MT Liquid Success sailed out to sea during last 24 hours. Three ships namely MSC Denisse, Nedlloyd Europa and Qem Star are expected to sail on Wednesday.
A total of eight ships namely African Holcyon, Navios Hios, Saudi Diriyah, Maersk Davavo, ACX Jasmine, Westama, Sigas Silvia and Raissa Ayu carrying Wheat, Containers, Palm Oil, LPG and Edible Oil are currently at the outer anchorage.
Six vessels viz MV MSC Denisse, CV Nedlloyd Europa, MT Gemini, MV Summer Fortune, Rio Gold and Qem Star were occupying berths to load/offload Containers, Palm Oil, Wheat and Chemicals respectively during last 24 hours.
Two ships namely ACX Jasmine and Saudi Diriyah due to take berths at Qasim International Container Terminal on Wednesday. Seven vessels viz CMA CGM Puget, Lucien, Dubai, Blumenau, Al-Salam-II, Al-Soor-II and Omega King carrying Containers, Iron Ore and Diesel Oil due to arrive.
