The FPCCI president, Tanvir Ahmed Sheikh, will lead a trade delegation to Saudi Arab to attend Pak Saudi Investment Conference/Seminar, which is being organised by Investment Division & Board of Investment ID & BOD of Pakistan Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FPCCI) and Council of Saudi Chamber of Commerce & Industry (CSCCI).
The conferences/seminars scheduled in Riyadh and Jeddah on 31st March 2008 and 2nd April 2008 respectively are likely to be attended by 200 to 250 leading businessmen and industrialists of both the countries. The purpose of the investment conference is to promote Pakistan's economic policies to generate Saudi Investment in various economic sectors.
To advance their ties FPCCI and CSCCI have jointly identified some potential sectors for joint ventures, include Oil & Gas, Petroleum & petro Chemicals, Power (coal, hydel, gas based), textile manufactures, banking & finance services, fertilisers industries, SMEs (Gems & jeweller, light engineering, furniture, value added textiles etc) Agricultures & Agro based industry, cool chains, food & fruit processing and packaging, Livestock and Dairy Farming, Fisheries, Infrastructure, IT & telecom.
