Investment under Continuous Funding System (CFS) at Karachi share market increased by 3.1 percent to Rs 54.3 billion on the end of the week as compared to Rs 50.42 billion on the same day a week earlier.
The CFS rate also increased and reached a 7-week high level of 11.2 percent on the last trading day of the outgoing week against 10.8 percent on the same day previous week.
"The recent increase in the CFS investment and rate can be attributed to the strong market sentiment and a bullish trend witnessed during the outgoing week after holding peaceful general elections on February 18", analysts said.
They said that the CFS investment has once again reached near its upper cap of Rs 55 billion on the end of the outgoing week due to strong interest of the market participants.
