The US Ambassador to Pakistan, Anne W. Patterson, met with the Deputy Convener of the Mutahidda Qaumi Movement (MQM), Dr Farooq Sattar, here on Tuesday and congratulated him on the victory of his party in the recent general elections, says a press release
"Through the electoral process, the Pakistani people have expressed their views, and we respect their choices," Patterson remarked during the meeting. "We are ready to work with whatever coalition is formed. It is up to those elected to form a government", the US envoy added.
Anne Patterson also reiterated the US desire to continue working with Pakistan for "advancing our common agenda of improving the lives of the Pakistani people through development assistance."-PR
