A parliamentary party meeting of Pakistan People's Party (Sherpao) was held here Thursday to discuss the current political situation. Chief of PPP (S), Aftab Ahmad Khan Sherpao chaired the meeting at People's House, Peshawar. Party MPAs Pervez Khattak, Sikandar Hayat Khan Sherpao, Israrullah Gandapur, Attiqur Rehman and Mohammad Ali Mohmand attended the meeting.
The meeting dispelled the impression created in a section of press regarding party's MPAs and said that the four party MPAs had held meeting with Co-chairman of PPP, Asif Ali Zardari on the directives and permission of party's high command. It said that the main objective of the meeting was to extend support for the improvement of the current situation in NWFP and stability of democracy.
