A central leader of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chaudhry Ahmed Mukhtar has said that nomination of candidate for the post of prime minister would be finalised by the party leadership. Talking to media outside Zardari House on Friday, Chaudhry Ahmed Mukhtar said his name was also part of the media speculation about nomination of premiership candidate.
"I neither endorse the speculation nor reject it," he said in reply to a question. "Well the names of Makhdoom Amin Fahim, Shah Mahmood Qureshi and Yousuf Raza Gillani are also being talked about on the media" he added. He replied "No" when asked whether the party leadership had given him a hint about possibility of giving him the responsibility. Ahmed Mukhtar also replied in the negative to another query whether he had been asked to stay in Islamabad.
