Two civilians were killed and 22 others injured when a suicide bomber rammed his explosive-filled car into a security personnel vehicle in a restive tribal area bordering Afghanistan, officials said. The attack took place outside Jar village, near Khar, the main town of lawless Bajaur tribal district, where militants regularly attack security forces.
"Two civilians died and 22 others, including nine Levies (tribal police) personnel, were injured in the suicide blast," official Mohammad Iqbal Khan told AFP. He said authorities had found the head of the suicide bomber, who was driving a white Suzuki car.
