Internationally accredited laboratories: TDAP assures Unido team for full cooperation
Now, exporters can avail of the facility of testing their products in 19 internationally accredited labs within Pakistan it self. The labs successfully participated in 35 international proficiency testing schemes.
This was stated by Chief Technical Advisor Zawdu Felleke of Trade Related Technical Assistance Programme (TRTA) of Unido. In a briefing held in Trade Development Authority this afternoon. Zawdu Felleke informed Tariq Ikram, Chief Executive of TDAP that while 18 labs have got global recognition. More labs are in pipeline to get accreditation in the near future.
These would cater to the quality and safety of several goods from Pakistan, which includes fisheries, dairy, meat, fruits and vegetable, textile, electrical, leather and water.

Tariq Ikram, assured the Unido delegation of TDAP full co-operation and assistance in execution of their programme. He stated it would go a long way to facilitate exporters to meet EU standards and to boost trade - which is now a mandate of the new role of TDAP. The meeting with Unido officials was attended by senior officials of TDAP.-PR
