Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Abdul Hameed Dogar inaugurated online court proceedings (OCP) system at Sindh High Court on Saturday evening. The Chief Justice of Pakistan pushed a button in the courtroom of pusine judge Justice Azizullah M.Memon in the presence of other judges of the SHC.
The system was developed by Abdul Rasheed Mahar, incharge, Information Technology Department, who explained the salient features of the programme to the Chief Justice of Pakistan.
He also stated that after the principal seat at Karachi, this system would be made functional at Hyderabad and Larkana Circuit courts. The CJP appreciated the move, and hoped that it would help the litigants and lawyers by saving their precious time and from running from one courtroom to other.
