An OIC Committee on Scientific and Technological Co-operation (Comstech) will organise a month long training course on science, technology and innovation from April 14. The major objective of the course is to strengthen the capability of OIC countries in the formulation and implementation of innovation policy, said a senior official of OIC Standing Committee Comstech.
The course is also intended to develop concepts on interactive relationship between human resource development, technology and other socio-economic policies leading to innovation, the official said. He also said students and researchers involved in development-related studies, science and technology policy research, R&D managers and public servants involved in planning and management and innovation policies are expected to benefit from the course.
Giving details, the official said teaching would be interactive with lectures followed by discussions and group assignments. National and international scholars invited from reputed foreign institutions will administer lectures and training. This workshop is being organised to provide a platform for researchers from universities and research institutes of OIC member states to share their knowledge and develop collaborative research programs in nanomedicine.
