The sale of various wax items meant for providing lighting during load shedding has gone up by almost three times owing to its high demand due to frequent power outages in the city. But, the quality of the wax products especially candles have downed.
Very thin and five inches long candles are being sold at Rs 5 a piece and thicker size candles for Rs 10. These candles are made of inferior material and burn out fast while giving a lot of soot with unburnt cargon.
