Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz has started collecting documentary evidence of alleged irregularities committed in Punjab in the past few years, it was learnt. Sources told Business Recorder on Wednesday that the action came after people complained to the party leadership about the alleged malpractices and activities of Qabza group allegedly abetted by some high-ranking government officials.
The party after the formation of the government planned to return property, occupied by Qabza groups, to the real owners, the sources claimed. Party parliamentary leader in the Punjab Assembly Shahbaz Sharif has announced that after he became chief minister, he will ensure good governance, and pledged to purge the provincial government departments, including the Lahore Development Authority, of corrupts. The sources said since the formation PML-N was imminent, various officials tried to appease Sharif to escape action.
