Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) on Friday announced to fully support the lawyers' "Black Flag Week" being observed from March 9 to 16 in protest against firing of judges of higher judiciary. PML-N Punjab President Sardar Zulifqar Khosa told reporters here on Friday that leaders and workers of PML-N would hoist black flags on their residences, vehicles and party offices during the week.
He added that the party would also observe token hunger strike on March 12 to express solidarity with the lawyers' community. Khosa said reinstatement of judges, supremacy of parliament and restoration of constitution in its original shape were on top of the priorities' list of the PML-N.
"People of Pakistan had given their verdict on February 18 and now every body should respect the public mandate', he urged. To a question Khosa said his party has not so far decided the party candidate for the slot of Chief Minister Punjab.
He said that Shahbaz Sharif might contest bye-election for Punjab assembly seat from Lahore, Rawalpindi or DG Khan. He alleged that Aiwan-e-Sadr has been turned into a centre of conspiracies and conspiracies are being hatched there against the people's mandate.
